I'm Ismail Al Huwaitat, a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. My approach is compassionate, culturally sensitive, friendly, and collaborative. I understand that asking for help can feel vulnerable, so I take time to listen, understand what matters to you, and develop a treatment plan that feels personal and realistic.

No. An evaluation is an assessment, not a commitment. Medication is recommended only when clinically appropriate, and the decision is always made collaboratively — with honest advice, including when medication isn’t the right tool.
Select insurance plans are accepted for clients located in California: Aetna, Cigna, Curative, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Independence Blue Cross. Oregon clients are seen on a cash-pay basis. Because coverage varies by plan, please confirm your behavioral-health benefits with your insurer or contact the practice before your first appointment.
